Privacy policy

Last updated: January 2024

The short version

PlayForge does not ask for, collect, or sell personal information. To play, you do not need an account, an e-mail address, or any detail about who you are. The site is funded by advertising, and advertising partners set their own cookies.

Information stored on your device

Your high scores, the games you have marked as favourites, and your light or dark theme preference are saved in your browser’s local storage. This data:

  • stays on your device and is never transmitted to us,
  • is not linked to you in any way, and
  • can be removed at any time by clearing your browser data for this site.

Advertising and cookies

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and/or to measure their performance.

  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
  • You can opt out of third-party vendor cookies more broadly at aboutads.info.

Google AdSense also lets publishers show ads based on your previous visits to this or other websites. To understand how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see Google’s partner sites policy.

Server logs

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. We do not store such logs ourselves and do not attempt to identify you from them.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing for us to export, correct or delete. If you have a question about your data, use the contact page.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
